Ponderous Polly viewed by Boy Scouts in New Bern

Today Boy Scouts will experience aviation and scouting all in one event, at the Coastal Carolina Regional Airport. This is a great opportunity for them to immerse themselves in the aviation culture as they Learn and earn their Aviation Merit Badge.

Last night Boy Scouts and their leaders camped out at the airport while being entertained by an aviation movie and snacks. Today events will include all the requirements to complete the Aviation Merit Badge which includes:
- Careers in Aviation
- Airplane Orientation Flights
- Aerodynamics
- Requirements for earning a pilot’s license
- Aviation Navigation
- Aircraft Static Displays
- Aerial Demonstrations
- and more…
It is expected that over 300 boyscout between the age of 11-17 will be registered for the event.
